On Sardinia’s north-eastern coast, just outside San Teodoro, La Cinta is one of the island’s most recognizable beaches. La Cinta is popular for kitesurfing and windsurfing, especially when the afternoon thermal wind develops. Snorkeling, stand-up paddleboarding and beach volleyball are also common, and several operators offer lessons or equipment rental.
Beach clubs and free sections coexist along the shore. Visitors can find sunbed and umbrella rental, kiosks, beach bars, toilets and showers, as well as areas designed to improve accessibility.
When to visit
The most comfortable period is generally from May to October. July and August are the busiest months, while June and September usually offer warm weather with fewer crowds. San Teodoro has a wide choice of hotels, residences, B&Bs, campsites and holiday homes, together with restaurants serving seafood and Sardinian specialties.
Whether you come for a swim, a long walk, water sports or simply the view of Tavolara, La Cinta remains one of the beaches that best represents the bright, open character of north-eastern Sardinia.
