Yes: business travelers flying from Sardinia can currently use Priority Pass at both Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport (OLB) and Cagliari Elmas Airport (CAG). Olbia’s airside Club Lounge is near Gate A1 and is open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., while Cagliari’s Prima Vista VIP Lounge is also airside and currently operates from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Both accept Priority Pass, but their prices, layouts and extra services differ.
For U.S. travelers, the most important practical point is to check the Priority Pass app on the day of travel. Lounge participation can change, access may depend on the membership attached to a particular credit card, and busy periods can affect admission. A Priority Pass logo on a credit card benefit page does not necessarily mean every visit or guest is free.
Olbia Airport Club Lounge: the Priority Pass option at OLB
The Olbia Airport Club Lounge, formally named after H.H. Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, is in the departures area near Gate A1. It is after security and, according to the current Priority Pass listing, after passport control for passengers using that flow.
The lounge covers about 300 square metres and was renovated and expanded in 2024. Olbia airport lists Wi-Fi, device-charging points, real-time flight monitors, television, a food-and-beverage area and a children’s area among the facilities. Priority Pass also currently lists complimentary refreshments and standard alcoholic drinks.
For someone working before a flight, the combination of Wi-Fi, charging and a quieter airside environment is the main advantage. The maximum permitted stay is three hours, and children under two enter free.
Priority Pass currently lists the lounge as open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day. Olbia Airport’s own booking page shows the same hours, although its current “Double Comfort” page notes that operating hours change to 6:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. starting November 3. Travelers outside the main summer season should therefore verify the live schedule before arriving.
What if you do not have Priority Pass at Olbia?
The lounge can also be purchased directly from the airport. The current 2026 walk-in/prebook price is €50 per person for the standard Club Lounge. Olbia sells a €55 “Double Comfort” option combining the lounge with Fast Track through security.
There is also an Exclusive Club Lounge, a separate private area of about 60 square metres. Current airport pricing is €100 per person and includes Fast Track and access to the “After Beach” shower rooms, plus dedicated table service and a broader food-and-beverage selection.
That distinction matters for Priority Pass members: Priority Pass access is to the standard Olbia Airport Club Lounge, not automatically to the airport’s €100 Exclusive Club Lounge package. Do not assume that a lounge membership includes every premium service sold inside the terminal.
The standard lounge does have a dedicated route to the After Beach shower facilities, but Olbia Airport lists showers as a separate service unless they are included in an eligible premium package. Travelers coming directly from a Costa Smeralda beach should check the exact shower charge and availability rather than assuming Priority Pass includes it.
Cagliari has a Priority Pass lounge too
At Cagliari Elmas Airport, the current option is the Prima Vista VIP Lounge. SOGAER, the airport operator, confirms that Priority Pass holders are admitted, alongside LoungeKey, DragonPass, Lounge Pass, DreamFolks, Nice Lounge Access and certain airline business-class or frequent-flyer passengers.
The 250-square-metre lounge is on the second floor. After security, passengers should follow the signs on the left before the shops to reach the access from the first floor.
Current opening hours are 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., seven days a week. Facilities listed by the airport include armchairs and sofas, a working area, food corner, Wi-Fi, television, newspapers and magazines, printing service and a smoking area.
For travelers without eligible lounge access, Cagliari’s current public price is substantially lower than Olbia’s: €30 for an adult and €15 for children and teenagers aged two through fourteen. Children under two enter free. A family package for up to two adults and two children is currently €65.
Which lounge is better for a business traveler?
The answer depends more on the airport in your itinerary than on choosing between the two lounges. Sardinia’s airports are far apart, so nobody should select OLB or CAG purely for lounge quality if the flight schedule and ground transport point toward the other airport.
Olbia is particularly convenient for travelers finishing a trip in Costa Smeralda, Gallura or north-eastern Sardinia. Its lounge has charging points and Wi-Fi, and the airport’s Fast Track bundle can be useful during busy summer departures. The Exclusive Club Lounge is an additional option for travelers who need greater privacy or a small meeting environment.
Cagliari is the more natural airport for southern Sardinia and the island’s capital. Its Prima Vista lounge explicitly includes a working area and printing facilities, and the standard cash-access price is currently lower.
If the goal is to take a video call, however, neither airport should be treated as a guaranteed private office. Lounge noise and occupancy vary. Use headphones, arrive with mobile data as a backup and avoid scheduling a critical meeting immediately before boarding.
Priority Pass through a U.S. credit card: check the details
Many American travelers receive Priority Pass through a premium credit card rather than buying membership directly. The card issuer determines the specific benefit: guest allowances, visit limits and charges can differ even when two travelers both say they “have Priority Pass.”
Before leaving for the airport, open the Priority Pass app, make sure the digital membership card is active and check the lounge entry page for OLB or CAG. Priority Pass itself recommends checking its app or website before travel and notes that a digital membership card can be used where supported.
At Olbia, the current Priority Pass listing confirms that digital cards are accepted. You should still carry the boarding pass required for lounge entry and a payment card in case your particular membership charges for a guest.
Do business-class tickets include the lounges?
Sometimes, but not universally. Olbia Airport says its lounge is available to holders of major national and international airline business-class arrangements, but eligibility depends on the airline agreement.
Cagliari is more explicit: SOGAER currently lists ITA Airways, Edelweiss, Lufthansa, British Airways, Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines and Iberia among the airlines whose eligible business-class passengers receive complimentary Prima Vista lounge access.
Airline contracts can change, so a business-class boarding pass should not be treated as automatic lounge admission unless the airline or airport confirms it for that flight.
What about Alghero Airport?
Travelers comparing Sardinia’s three principal airports may also notice that Priority Pass currently lists Alghero Fertilia (AHO) among its Italian airport locations. Because lounge programs and participating facilities change, anyone departing Alghero should check the live Priority Pass listing for the date of travel rather than assuming that the Olbia or Cagliari arrangements apply there.
